Taupo Bay is located approximately four hours drive north of Auckland (allow extra time for stops and traffic if traveling during peak periods), or 45 minutes north of the historic Bay of Islands.  20 km further to the north is Doubtless Bay and the quaint little village of Mangonui, with its craft shops, cafes, bars and famous fish and chips.
